The location of the hotel is great, especially if you are traveling by car. It is situated in beautiful surroundings, and there are some excellent restaurants nearby, like the Sundial. The breakfast served is exceptional, with a variety of options and home-cooked meals. the staff is friendly and the hospitality is wonderful.

The bathrooms in the hotel are quite cramped, and some guests may find them uncomfortable.

We had a wonderful stay at Cleavers Lyng 16th Century Country House Guest House. The breakfast was delightful and the location was perfect. Being more of a bed and breakfast rather than a hotel, the owners, Sally and her husband, were friendly and helpful. They even provided us with written guides and recommendations for local pubs, restaurants, and activities. The room we stayed in was clean, comfortable, and had a charming character. The views and surroundings were absolutely lovely, making our stay truly enjoyable.

Had a wonderful Christmas stay with great food and beautiful surroundings. Friendly staff and comfortable room with nice amenities. Enjoyed the festive decorations and cozy fireplace in the common area. The location was convenient for exploring the nearby attractions and had easy access to transportation. a pleasant experience during the holiday season.

Some areas of improvement needed - found several spiders in the room and experienced issues with hot water. Lack of air conditioning could be a drawback for some guests.

Sally warmly greeted us upon arrival and made us feel right at home. The room was fantastic - the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the towels were large and plush. The bottle of water was a nice touch. We also enjoyed the superb views of Sussex from our room. The shower was fantastic and refreshing.

The location of this country house is absolutely stunning, with beautiful gardens and picturesque paths for walks. The Executive room offers a comfortable bed and a breathtaking view over the garden and countryside. The breakfast served here is excellent, with a good selection and even hot dishes made to order. the house has been sympathetically furnished to maintain its original charm, with little touches that make it feel like a five-star hotel.

The staircase leading to the top floor rooms may pose a challenge for older guests, as it is narrow and steep.

A wonderfully peaceful location, surrounded by beautiful countryside. The property was sympathetically furnished to the age of the original house, giving it a charming and authentic feel. The room had little touches that made it feel luxurious, exceeding some top-notch hotels we have stayed in. Breakfast was generous and delicious, on par with some of the best hotels we've been to.

The en suite bathroom was a bit cramped, which made it a little uncomfortable to use. The shower's hot water could have been hotter, as we prefer a hotter shower experience.
